Work in Progress - Lua

I'm finally back from my trip to Calgary and I am ready to dive into painting again!

I started this piece yesterday. It's a portrait of a brindled French bulldog named Lua. She's a lovely, very friendly and energetic little dog. 

Unfortunately, I cannot finish it today (appointments!) but I will work on it tomorrow and hopefully have it finished by the end of the day.

I have to work on the nose a lot more and I will readjust the background. She is quite a dark dog, so I thought the lighter fabric background would work well and let her stand out.
